Last weekend saw a victorious comeback for Antoine l'Estage, who managed to secure another win at the third round of the Canadian Rally Championship at the Rallye Baie des Chaleurs. The rally would see 41 competitors run over 225 Kilometres over 14 stages through the forests of New Richmond, Quebec, Canada.
l'Estage, along with co-driver Alan Ockwell, where keen to make up for lost time after last rounds disappointing result at the Rocky Mountain Rally, which resulted in a DNF. The latest victory is the eighth in succession at the Rallye Baie des Chaleurs, and also means Antoine is now equal first in the championship standings.
Elsewhere in the rally, Jean-Sebastian Besner came in at a hard fought 2nd place in his Mitsubishi Evo. Ken Stanick and Boris Djordjevic also came 6th and 7th respectively, an impressive result for the former considering this is only his second gravel rally.
All four drivers compete in the 4WD Open class, and use EXE-TC suspension.
We look forward to the next round of the CRC at Rallye Delfi from the 7th to the 9th of September.
